Mola-mola (oceanic sunfish) season is Jul–Oct (peak Aug–Sep), when cold upwellings push the channel down to ~16–22°C and sunfish rise to be cleaned by bannerfish and butterflyfish. Strong, unpredictable currents and downwellings — site is for experienced divers.
